ISO 50001 international energy management standard that was published in 2011 is based on PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle like other ISO standards, and is easily integrated with the existing systems. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources also supports the projects implemented by companies in accordance with the regulation enforced by the Ministry in terms of increasing energy efficiency which becomes more important each and every day.
Implementation of ISO 50001 Energy Management System enables to systematically monitor energy consumption, identify improvement areas and take actions and increase energy performance. Also, having an ISO 50001 certificate indicates the commitment of companies to improve their energy performance and reducing their impacts on the environment.
